- Dr. Steven Buty
Born and raised in Seattle, Steven Buty graduated from O’Dea High
School in Seattle and Gonzaga University in Spokane. He worked in
cancer research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in
Seattle before attending medical school. Dr. Buty earned his M.D.
degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and
completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Sacred Heart
Medical Center in Spokane, with rotations at University of
Washington Medical Center.
Since 1985, Dr. Buty has been affiliated with Swedish Medical
Center, Seattle’s premier hospital system and the largest
obstetrical hospital in Washington state. Dr. Buty is board
certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and
has recertified annually for the past three years. He has served
on Swedish hospital’s Ob. Gyn. Quality Assurance Committee for 10
years and is a past member of the King County Medical Society
Ethics in Medical Practice Committee.
Dr. Buty resides in West Seattle with his wife and teenage son. He
enjoys spending time with his extended family, antique hunting,
art, travel and gardening in his free time. He cultivates Japanese
dwarf maple trees and counts more than 60 antique clocks in his
collection. |
